The Revelation of Jesus Christ is a book of prophecy on the end times and comprises the final book of the New Testament and of the Bible. Written in Greek, the word for Revelation is Ἀποκάλυψις or Apocalypse. Revelation always implies the unveiling of something previously hidden.

This book was fantastic. It covered every aspect of the numerous symbolisms and theology of the doctrine of "last things" culminating with the second coming of Jesus Christ in all His glory and the eternal state. It is written with the premillenial view which is the literal interpretation of the Holy by:   The author claimed the book of Revelation is all about the testimony of Jesus, therefore under the "Key to Revelation" subdivides the book into the testimony of Jesus to the church, to the world, to the overcomers, the millennium and eternity, in Volume I and continued the same type of subdivision of through the more difficulty second part of the book: triumphant of Jesus testimony in the world, /5(16).

The Revelation of Jesus Christ by John F. Walvoord Introduction Authorship, Occasion, and Date The opening verses of the book of the Revelation plainly claim the book was written by John, identified almost universally in the early church as the Apostle John.

The apostolic authorship of the book has, nevertheless, been questioned ever since. It is a revelation given by Jesus Christ from heaven, now that God has raised him from the dead.

Much of it, of course, will also be about Jesus, but above all the title is saying that the book is from Jesus. If Jesus is the immediate source of the revelation, God is its ultimate source.

Who Wrote the Book of Revelation. Unlike many books of the Bible, the author of Revelation begins by clearly identifying himself in the first verse: “The revelation from Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants what must soon take made it known by sending his angel to his servant John” (Revelation ).His identity is confirmed in three additional verses (Revelation 1.

The Revelation of Jesus Christ. 1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which () God gave Him to () show to His bond-servants, () the things which must soon take place; and He The revelation of the Christ book and [] communicated it by His angel to His bond-servant () John, 2 who testified to () the word of God and to () the testimony of Jesus Christ, everything that he saw.

3 Blessed is the one who reads, and those who hear. Considering John was the disciple Jesus chose to dictate the Book of Revelation too, it’s easy to assume John knows the most on the subject. But John never mentions “The End Times person called The Antichrist.” He paints a totally different picture.

Let’s examine his writings. (Daniel ) 1 This is the revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants what must soon come to pass. He made it known by sending His The revelation of the Christ book to His servant John, 2 who testifies to everything he saw.

This is the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ. My favorite book is Genesis – as a science nerd at university, I loved discovering how the truth of Scripture and the truth of science didn’t contradict each other.

But my least favorite book was Revelation – I didn’t like the confusion over all the differing interpretations. However, one day I was reading in Isaiah. Revelation is an inter lude, and the story in Revelation 16 continues in Revelat where “a great multitude in heaven” (, 6) praises God: “ For He has judged the great harlot (Babylon) who was corrupting the earth with her immorality, and He has avenged the blood of his bond-servants on her ”.

The R.O.C. Church, Unveiling Christ to the World. But Jesus beheld them, and said unto the, With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible. The concluding book of the New Testament begins in the following fashion: "The revelation of Jesus Christ which God gave him to show to his servants." (a).

One of the intriguing questions discussed by scholars is the phrase "of Jesus Christ" (Iesou Christou [genitive case]). The genitive frequently is expressed in English by the preposition "of," as in this text-thus, "of Jesus Christ.". The book of Revelation brings eternity in view.

It calls our attention to living in view of eternity. This is because the hero of the book is our eternal Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. And this is the first inspiration we get when we begin to read the book of Revelation. It opens with its own.

Later the words the divine (theologian) were added to the title after John's name. Again, the title of the book is not in the plural—“Revelations.” It is “The Revelation of Jesus Christ” The opening words of the first chapter tell us that.

It is “The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass.”. The Book of Revelation (also called the Apocalypse of John, Revelation to John or Revelation from Jesus Christ) is the final book of the New Testament, and consequently is also the final book of the Christian title is derived from the first word of the Koine Greek text: apokalypsis, meaning "unveiling" or "revelation."The Book of Revelation is the only apocalyptic book in the New.

The Book of Revelation provides closure to the past, a revelation of Jesus Christ at present, and a perfect fulfillment of all prophecy in the future. This, if you only knew, is a cause for great celebration in heavenly places. On earth, however, these things go unappreciated by most; and that’s a.

Revelation is a book with some predictions of future events, but more than that it is a book designed to provide encouragement and hope for the people of God. The expectation of our present life and our eternal life is built upon Jesus.

It is a glorious hope because of His character and power. The Unveiling of Jesus Christ is, as the author rightly points out, the great theme of Revelation.

The Greek for “revelation” means revealing, making something known, unveiling. The last book of the Bible is simple known as ‘Revelation’ and many believers have forgotten that it is “The Revelation of Jesus Christ, “The Revealing of Jesus Christ”, “The Unveiling of Jesus Christ”.

The Book of Revelation was written for our time and you can now understand it. Around 95 AD, the Apostle John was exiled onto a little island called Patmos. While there, God gave him visions of the Second Coming of Jesus Christ to the earth and the events that would precede this event.
